Personal information is collected via the accounting or financial services firm that engages OrtusPro Global. Information we may receive includes: names, address, date and place of birth, ABNs, TFNs and employment details, personal health and insurance information, and financial information including income, expenses, superannuation and investment details. We only collect information that is reasonably necessary for our business functions.
Personal information is used solely for the purpose of providing the contracted services to the engaging firm. We do not use personal information for direct marketing. We do not sell, trade or otherwise transfer personal information to third parties without explicit consent from the engaging firm.
We take the security of personal information seriously. Our delivery centres are equipped with the latest technology and infrastructure including: AES-256 encryption for all data in transit and at rest; biometric scanners and access cards for entry; CCTV monitoring throughout; prohibition of personal devices and physical documents in processing areas; role-based access controls and MFA; individual NDAs signed by all staff. Our group companies are ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certified.
Personal information data is stored for 10 years for compliance and auditing purposes and securely destroyed thereafter in accordance with applicable data retention requirements.
OrtusPro Global is fully committed to all 13 Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). These principles govern how we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information. Key principles include: APP 1 (Open and transparent management), APP 3 (Collection of solicited personal information), APP 5 (Notification of collection), APP 6 (Use and disclosure), APP 8 (Cross-border disclosure), APP 11 (Security of personal information), APP 12 (Access to personal information) and APP 13 (Correction of personal information).
Personal information may be transferred to our delivery centres in India in the course of providing services. All cross-border transfers are governed by APP 8 and contractual obligations ensuring the overseas recipient maintains privacy standards consistent with Australian Privacy Principles. Staff in all locations are bound by individual NDAs and our data security protocols.
